Guest Chef: Marc Lepine is the Chef and Owner of Atelier in Ottawa. In 2009 Atelier was named one of Canada’s best new restaurant in enRoute magazine as well as one of Ottawa’s top ten restaurants by Ottawa Magazine. In November 2011, Marc won Gold at the annual Gold Medal Plates competition in Ottawa, allowing him to advance to the Canadian Culinary Championships, where he also won Gold, beating out 8 other chefs. Before opening Atelier, Marc worked in Toronto, France and Italy. He received his sommelier certification in Ottawa and was twice named ‘Ottawa Chef of the Year’ by the Canadian Culinary Federation. In the summer of 2008 he travelled to Chicago for a life-changing stage at Alinea restaurant with Chef Grant Achatz. Marc is hoping to replicate a life changing experience with an ambitious, fast paced, 100 course tasting menu! Marc will be joined in the kitchen by his Sous-Chefs Jason Sawision, Luis Calero, Murray Wilson as well as guest Chefs Matt Blondin and Charlotte Langley.
